Mumbwa Child Development Agency (MCDA) is a community-led nonprofit organisation based in Mumbwa, Zambia, dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable children and families.

Why Our Work Matters
Across rural communities in Central Province, many children and families face serious challenges accessing safe drinking water, quality education and essential healthcare.
Long distances to schools and water sources, inadequate infrastructure and economic hardship place additional pressure on vulnerable households. Girls are particularly affected, facing increased risks of school dropout, child marriage and gender-based violence.
MCDA works alongside communities to address these challenges through practical, sustainable interventions that protect children, strengthen families and create opportunities for a better future.

233 Community Water Points. Equipped, rehabilitated, and community-maintained boreholes providing safe drinking water.
