At MCDA, we believe every mother deserves a safe delivery, and every child deserves a healthy start
MCDA (Mumbwa Child Development Agency) is a child-centered, non-profit NGO working to improve the lives of children, youth, and families in rural Zambia. We focus on education, child & maternal health, nutrition-sensitive agriculture, and youth empowerment, with community participation at the core of every intervention.
MCDA operates in Mumbwa and Shibuyunji Districts of Zambia, covering both Central and Lusaka Provinces. Our programs reach approximately 195,000 people, primarily in remote and underserved rural communities.
We are governed by a local advisory board made up of parents, youth, and government representatives. Our operations include

Community participation in planning and implementation
Monitoring & evaluation tools to track impact
We also maintain compliance with Zambian NGO registration laws and donor reporting standards.
